Brief info
Tommy Tidwell became a Christian on April 11, 1974. He preached his first sermon about nine months after his baptism and has been preaching ever since. He has preached in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia, with the majority of his time being in Georgia at three congregations (Bowdon, Cordele and Clarkdale/South Cobb). He was at South Cobb for 34 years as a preacher and served as an elder for many years.
He attended college at the University of North Alabama, International Bible College in Florence, AL.(AA), and Magnolia Bible College (BA) in Mississippi. He received his master’s degree from Heritage Christian University in 2007.
He worked as a Director for one week of Camp Inagehi in Douglasville, GA, for many years. He taught at Georgia School of Preaching, Marietta and Villa Rica campuses, for many years. He served as Director of the GSOP at Marietta and served as chairman of the steering committee for the future of the school.
He married LaRheasa on August 9, 1980, and had three sons who are all the pride of his life. He has three wonderful daughter in laws. He has been blessed by God with eight grandchildren – Drake, Asher, Emery, Aliya, Aubree, Bailee, Berkley, and Corah.
Tommy is grateful to God for his grace that allows him to teach and preach God’s word.
